Increased Spirituality

All indicators say the US is becoming more spiritual.

But what does that mean?

To me it means people are searching more than ever for a meaning to life beyond what is seen and into what is unseen. It can be a very good time of harvest if we are diligent.
The fields are white unto harvest.

Or are they searching for what appeases them in their desires?

I fully agree it is a time to push to get all in we can. But, the Bible also shows the harvest is coming to a close for the Church Age and apostacy is rampant.

I support you fully in our need to be deligent. That is so important.

open it can mean that that the people are grasping at anything and everything.

from godess worship to the greek gods.

I see them actually declining in spirituallity.

That is why it is important to be ready to share your faith at any moment, too look for every opportunity and make the most it.
People are searching and if we are not there to present the Gospel they may find some new age doctrine such as communicating with the dead or some other doctrine spawned by devils.
I have been amazed at how willing people are to turn to Christ when presented with the Gospel of Christ.
It is truly the power of God at work saving everyone who believes. It seems if they hear it, the believe it.
I am not saying everyone receives the message but it certainly brings them to a point of decision and they leave thinking about God. Most people go through their day and no thought of God goes through their mind.
It is sad as I drive down the road or in a crowd of people and I know the Holy Spirit is calling them and they are so hard of hearing they don't hear. But if we can give voice to the call of God they hear our voice but the one calling is able to speak to their hearts.
I have seen people in tears as they hear the words I speak but I know it is the Spirit of God that touches them not my words. The words I speak are not my words but the words of the one who sent me.

Unfortunately many who hear the Word, today, are impressed at the moment and then walk away later.

Like the King who said, "Almost you persuade me."

I think our task today in some ways is harder than it has ever been before. People have hardened their hearts and plugged their ears except to hear and take in 'itching ears' doctrines.

We are fewer iin numbers and decreasing all the time. And many have abandoned the race because of frustration.

We need to stay the course to the end.

So many sound Christian that are not Christian. It is sad.

The 7th church is near to Christ with the lips but far away in their hearts.

May God bless our efforts to find the last of the Harvest of the Church.
