still reading my bible! and I've been thinking and wondering,
the bible tells us that the dead in Christ will rise first,
what I dont understand is, if their with the Lord why does this happen?
what does it mean?
if it is their bodys, why would this happen since we get a new one?

The spirit of the dead saints are with Christ in Heaven.
They will return with Christ at the Rapture and their bodies will be reformed. Then their spirits will enter their bodies.
Now, will all saints in living earthly flesh they will rise to Christ in the clouds and go to Heaven.
There their bodies will be transformed from sinful mortal flesh to pure immortal flesh. Not replaced but changed.
So, we don't get new bodies. Our bodies are changed.
Look at Christ. He was in sinless flesh but it was mortal, as the First Adam's flesh was mortal.
He was changed from mortal to immortal.

in the rapture.

All saints bodies are changed when resurrected. Which includes all who go after the Pre-Trib Rapture.
The dead first return to their flesh to be like the living saints and the all go in the Rapture together.
No ones body is changed until they reach Heaven. We all go up as earthly flesh.
If you mean something else I am not understanding.

Hey, I think I got it! its making sense now.
I did'nt know we all went as flesh then changed.
I guess I thought the ones who had passed already,
why does'nt God just give them a new body without messing with the old one.
thanks!
