Good question.
The answer hinges on on whether, as with John in Revelation, the spirit left the body to go to heaven or the spirit remained in the body and projected to Heaven.
We know that is possible because of such as Heaven opening to Christ and the 144,000 at the Second Coming as if it were right there on the earth.
Interesting question.

I'm lurking on this thread. It is interesting, sure enough.

I found these verses about out of body experience. As far I as I am concerned the bible verses mean that Jesus helped them do this. I personally do not think that "new age" out of body", Or the out of body experiences that require some kind of ritual are good for us as Christians. I do think there is a line between Jesus helping one see something as in the case of these verses and one of today’s experiences.
"The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the
spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the
valley which was full of bones,"
Ezekiel 37:1, KJV
"I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me
a great voice, as of a trumpet,"
Revelation 1:10, KJV
"And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne
was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne."
Revelation 4:2, KJV
"So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness:
and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of
names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns."
Revelation 17:3, KJV
"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high
mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God,"
Revelation 21:10, KJV
"I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether
in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I
cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the
third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body,
or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he
was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words,
which it is not lawful for a man to utter."
2 Corinthians 12:2-4, KJV

I don't think they say what you are thinking they say.
"The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the
spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the
valley which was full of bones,"
Ezekiel 37:1, KJV
It says the spirit of the Lord carried Ezekiel, not that Ezekiel's spirit was carried.
1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.
'By' versus 'in' is an issue of the archaic versus modern English.
Same issue as 'the faith of Christ (KJV)' versus 'faith in Christ(modern English)'
They says the same thing but one in a form of English no longer used.
"I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me
a great voice, as of a trumpet,"
Revelation 1:10, KJV
We also pray in the spirit, which does not mean praying out of body. It means something like operating by our spirit and not our flesh.
So this does not say out of body since John was in the spirit before Christ spoke to him.
"And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne
was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne."
Revelation 4:2, KJV
Again, in the spirit does not demand out of body. It demands functioning by the spirit instead of by the flesh.
Remember, spirits are not bound by physical laws.
"So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness:
and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of
names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns."
Revelation 17:3, KJV
Same issue again.
"And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high
mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God,"
Revelation 21:10, KJV
And again.
Which does not prove out of body happens because Paul said he didn't know. As we don't know.
It remains an interesting question for which we do not have an answer.
