Rain Falls--Only in Tel Aviv
13:27 Mar 15, '06 / 15 Adar 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Rain clouds opened up only on Tel Aviv Wednesday morning, leaving the rest of the country dry, a rare event according to Israel Meteorological forecaster Uri Batz. Most of Israel celebrated Purim without precipitation, which over the years usually falls on the holiday.

Light rain fell in the Galilee Tuesday night, and more occasional and light precipitation may fall on Friday. Overall, a slight and general warming trend is expected following cooler than usual temperatures Wednesday

:hmm:  Hmmm . . . if clouds appeared, precipitated, and disappeared over Tel-Aviv only, then I would view the event as an oddity. But roaming "patch rain" is common, even in America.

Uri Batz needs to demonstrate why we should be amazed by this phenomenon.
