Is anyone else noting a Pantheistic edge in much of Christianity?
Meaning God not being the creator of nature but nature being a part of God. To commune with nature is to commune with God and receive answers?

Seeing it more and more. More and more new age influences rubbing off on Christian thinking.

I think it is because people read their Bibles less.....they think having a spiritual relationship with God is more about themselves than God. If they would read their Bibles, they would know how God wants to be approached and what we can do to make HIM happy.....not what we can do to make ourselves feel good.

As with occultic practices, such beliefs start with simple ignorance. For instance, all of us need private time with 'Elohiym (http://www.studylight.org/lex/heb/view.cgi?number=0430) (ref. Matthew 6:5-6 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%206:5-6%20;&version=31;), see also John 14:26 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2014:26;&version=31;), 1 Corinthians 2:13 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%202:13;&version=31;), etc.). Based on this grain of truth, many people believe that self-imposed seclusion among foresty surroundings increases the probability of receiving communications from God, which is a half-truth.
Notice that a truth is used to justify a half-truth. One could logically build a chain of precepts upon this half-truth, thereby creating erroneous "Pantheistic Christian" doctrines.
Casual ignorance is a dangerous thing. And all deceiving personages appreciate casual ignorance (ref. Hosea 4:6 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hosea%204:6;&version=31;)).

I agree on the grain of truth.
And that people don't study.
A little truth mixed with no study merged with self fulfilling fantasies are deadly.
Since we are part of nature seeing God as part of nature makes us part of God. Dangerous logic based on a grain of truth.
