What is verse 22 implying, Is it saying that Jesus has control of all our lives?

22 Jesus replied, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You follow me." 23 So the rumor spread among the community of believers* that that disciple wouldn't die. But that isn't what Jesus said at all. He only said, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?"

And what a powerful verse 24 is.

24 This is that disciple who saw these events and recorded them here. And we all know that his account of these things is accurate.
25 And I suppose that if all the other things Jesus did were written down, the whole world could not contain the books.

To me it says if God wishes to delay or block something from happening, even the time of one's death, it is right and power to do so.

Don't be concerned with what God has for someone else. Be concerned with what he has for you and what he is saying to you. What he has in store and what he is saying to someone else is for them. What he is saying to you and what he has for you concerns you. He has a specific plan and purpose for you.

I agree with both of you, i know He was saying mind your own buisness, it was the part about controling the time of ones death that i was wondering about.
No doubt the power of God huh.

And just think of all the things that Jesus must of done and some still doubted, which brings up another verse where He says , how much greater it be for those that have faith without seeing Him. :yowza:

It is amazing how many saw Christ and his miracles and still walked away. Speaks of personal desire overriding sound thinking. Like Satan being with God and still thinking he could take his place.

And it does take more trust and confidence to believe in what one has not seen than what one has seen. Strong trust.
