Here is a short editorial by a reporter named Bill Scott. He is not saved, nor is he a Christian reporter, but even he feels something is coming.
'Apocalyptic' signs at least show world out of control
Do you remember the cartoon of the guy with the sign, "The end of the world is near"? Well, apparently a lot of people think so.
Christians believe that the return of Jesus is near, and point to many signs throughout the world, like famines, earthquakes, disasters, and Israel becoming a nation again. The Jewish people are so convinced that their Messiah is about to appear that they have a group of people waiting in the wings to build the Third Temple. They have also revived the Sanhedrin for the first time in almost 2,000 years in preparation. Now the president of Iran proclaims that the arrival of the "Mahdi" (Muslim Messiah), also known as the Twelfth Imam, is at hand, and Iran must pave the way. They believe his coming will be accompanied by a world apocalypse in which Muslim rule and justice will be established on Earth.
One thing is certain: The world is spinning out of control. Violence, immorality and self-indulgence abound. There is no more right and wrong, black and white. What was once good is now bad, and what was once immoral and wrong is now right. No matter what you believe, it would take a god to set it straight. Maybe the end really is near.
