More than knowledge and experience. Putting knowledge and experience to correct and proper use and understanding regardless of how things appear on the surface.

I wondered if this was my gift.
to a point I think so, and too I wonder did I want it cause I was lacking?

;) Be careful with that Scriptural reference. James 1:5 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James%201:5;&version=31;) is not a "blank check" justification for any personal revelations of "spiritual wisdom," as you are subtly implying. All alleged personal revelations should be tested (1 Thessalonians 5:21 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Thessalonians%205:21;&version=31;), 1 John 4:1 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20John%204:1;&version=31;), see also Ephesians 5:11 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%205:11;&version=31;)), especially when evil spirits masquerade as Godly spirits (2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%2011:14-15;&version=31;)) to devour people (1 Peter 5:8 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter%205:8;&version=31;)).

Agree. Just like the misapplication of ask for things with enough faith and you will get them.

What happened to God's will, personal responsibility and asking for wrong things?

Wisdom is Gods word and learning through living with maturity and a realization that mistakes happen but failure doesn't exist.

That is part of the equation, for sure.
