I've always heard that the parable of the fig tree is about Israel's rebirth as a nation. Yes? No? Maybe? Let's talk about it.

Matthew 24:32-36:

32 "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;

33 even so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.

34 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

Yep. Israel ceased bearing fruit and lost it leaves. Entered winter.

But when the fig buds that means fruit is coming again.

Are those verses talking about the state of the Jews at the middle to end of the trib when they see the truth and turn to Jesus ?

No. The 1/3 that finds Christ mainly do so in the First Half under the Two Witnesses. The ones who are not of the Woman pretty much die in the GT.

Israel is slightly budding now. They do have a Christian population.

But budding is a far cry from bearing fruit. To bear fruit a tree has to bud, pop leaves, bud blooms, pop blooms and then the fruit develops.

This is only a first step. That is identified by being so clear on beginning to bud.

So this is a parable for us to watch now as pertaining to getting close to the rapture.
