I hear many (even ministers) say that so many people in America are Christians that when the rapture occurs, it will devastate and cripple our country. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but would like to get you guys to give me your thoughts on this. What say you?

God won't do the Rapture if there are that many Christians left.

Matthew 7:13-14

enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat.

because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT.

in this I am always thinking of the "few" when I hear millions will leave in the rapture

I`m undecided , i think the number will be low world wide but could be a fairly high number in this country. Could be that between the rapture and other events at the same time the US will falter.

See, like Wind, I'm undecided too. I just honestly don't know. On one hand, I see those who show up for Benny Hinn's meetings, and hear that he has millions in his viewing audience in this country alone, and think.... "Hmmm... well, I don't agree with that doctrine, and those poor people are certainly misled, but I can't say they aren't saved." So, if the rapture were to occur, then it would sure make a dent in our population...

Then I think, with apostasy going rampant the way it is, do people really know the truth? Many people say they're saved, but when you ask them why, they say they're saved because they're a good person. Oy vey! Then I think about the scriptures that Jessie posted, and it makes sense to me too. I see the point she was making, and I think it's a good point. And PrayzHim made a valid point too... many will be surprised to be left behind.

*sigh* I'm not going to cast my vote yet. I know to answer the question I'm asking here, we would have to become judge and jury.... but I still ponder it. Someone help me out here.

Well, if it were to be many to the point of crippling the country we would not be seeing gay marriages, God out of the schools, easy abortion, no justice in the courts and so on.

God says luke warm Christians will be spit out (into the Trib).

A huge mistake is to say a person who acknowledges the true Biblical God is there means they are save. But mistake.

i have had asked people why they thought they were saved

and had some very interesting reponses

very few
said it was the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
that it is be grace that we are saved
not of works

some who have been to these
meeting
did not even know who Jesus was

and remeber i once was a member of benny's "church''
and these are some of the people who had gone up for salvation

that i had asked

Just wanted to update everyone.... I am no longer undecided. I believe that when the rapture occurs, it will not be so many that it will cripple America. What brought me to this conclusion? Oh... many things. Let's just say that recently I have had some eye opening experiences, and I have been learning to see more with my spiritual eyes than with my natural eyes. People and things have come my way that the Lord has used to show me how bad things currently are, and how bad things are going to continue to get.

It's like the stone that rolls downhill... when it first starts rolling, it rolls slowly. The further down it rolls, the faster it goes. Eventually, it's rolling so fast it crushes everyone caught in its path.
