In the 9th Chapter of Daniel, we read about the treaty the Antichrist makes with Israel for one week (7 years). In the middle of that week he breaks it. Now, what exactly is the treaty that he makes with them? The EU is already in a policing role in Israel, or they will be shortly. They are at peace with them, so to speak. So, what kind of treaty is this, and what will it entail? Who will it envolve?
Daniel 9:27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations [will come] one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

EU-Israel (http://www.eu-del.org.il/newsletter/english/default.asp?edt_id=17&id=241

EU-Israel) Association Committee Sets Action Plan Priorities
The 4th meeting of the EU-Israel Association Committee took place in Jerusalem on April 14. The key point of discussion was the follow up to the European Neighbourhood Policy Action Plan endorsed in December 2004 and in particular the modalities for implementation and the sequencing of actions to be undertaken by each side.
An extensive debate was held on the sub- committees that will monitor progress on implementation and act as the focal points for discussion on technical issues arising from the Action Plan. Ten such sub-committees should be established.
Starting in 2007 the ENP will be supported by the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument, which will target sustainable development and approximation to EU policies and legislation, and bring a radical improvement in the capacity to support cross border cooperation along the EU's external border (see page 1). This is expected to significantly facilitate Israeli participation in the EU's Single Market.
The Association Committee also discussed the Middle East Peace Process, which remains a strategic priority for the EU. The EU stated that the ceasefire and other measures agreed at Sharm El Sheikh were positive steps and it welcomed the government's decision on disengagement from Gaza and parts of the West Bank provided that it takes place in the context of the Road Map.
Another important debate focused on ways of encouraging bilateral trade liberalization, not only in agricultural products, but also in services and investment. Concerning the facilitation of Palestinian trade following disengagement, the EU stressed that the free flow of goods, labour and businesspeople was essential for the stimulation of the Palestinian economy.
Finally, in the context of the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, the EU noted Israel's valuable participation in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership. It stressed that respect the regional cooperation in the ENP action plan as part of the Barcelona process can complement the peace process and make a positive contribution to the stability of the Mediterranean region.
One of the two main formal frameworks for dialogue between the sides created by the EU-Israel Association Agreement, Association Committees are held at the level of senior officials. The EU delegation was led by Mr. Christian Leffler, Director for the Mediterranean and the Middle East while the Israeli delegation was led by Yossi Gal, Deputy DG for Economic Affairs and Ran Curiel, Deputy Director General, Western Europe.

I do not believe any current treaty is what the AC will be working with.
Yes, there are elements of them in it but none of them have the scope and signatories that can possibly be the treaty opening the Trib.
Call the current treaties the birth pangs of the Daniel 70th Week Treaty.
The Article shows plans for Israel to become part of the EU. Now, if that were the case of what was going to happen then the AC would have no need to break a treaty or invade Israel at Mid because he would be invading his own Empire.
Israel simply is not going to become part of the EU because the EU would supress their religion even under their current laws.
