I don't pay attention to my dreams; that is, unless they're nightmares, or just horrible or perverted in nature. Then, they may trouble me for a little while, then I dismiss them and they're gone.
At any rate, I have a question. My mind moves in 9 millionth gear once I fall asleep. I dream at the speed of light, and my dreams are like a strobe light... with images going through my head in fits, starts, and fragments.
But one dream I had has stayed with me...and one reason is because I dreamed a chapter of the Bible I had never read. I dreamed, in precise detail, the 47th chapter of Ezekiel. I know it was no coincidence, for it was very precise and detailed. In the dream, I even enacted the part where I waded out ankle deep, knee deep, and to the loins. I saw the house sitting on the water, and the water issuing out from beneath it, the trees on the bank of the river, the fishermen casting forth and catching fish, etc.... this isn't just undigested beef. And it touched me profoundly.
Got some words of wisdom for me?

Truly sounds like a dream of desire for peace and a place of security to me.
And maybe the Holy Spirit touched it a bit to make it more real and meaningful.
Beyond that I see nothing else. But isn't that enough within itself?

What a wonderful dream. I would treasure it. Put it on the wall of your mind and take a look at it once in awhile.
Along with all the other things God gives you in life as you walk with him.
You will probably find it gives you direction, if not now, later when it is time.

Oh, yes. Definitely!!! I know when I woke up, and when thinking of it later, I felt sweet peace. I love that.

Yes, and that's what I've done.
I know what that chapter in Ezekiel is talking about, but still just wondered why I dreamed it. The dream did give me a feeling of overwhelming peace when I had it, as I said above, and I can look back on it and feel that peace when I think about it.
Also, maybe it was the Lord giving me peace. My sleep-life is a battle-field, literally. More often than not, I don't sleep well. My sleep can be described as extremely fretful at times, which is why I dream in 9-millionth gear.
But it sure was refreshing.

Hello everyone:)
Sometimes dreams seem to be more than just meaningless brain activity while asleep. Could they be another method for God to reach people he has a special plan for maybe? Jesus's brother Hong ascended into Heaven in a dream and discovered his destiny right? I never really put much thought into dreams.

No need for that in the NT. We have the Holy Spirit within.
As revelation increased, in the OT, dreams decreased.
God can simply give a direct revelation via a vision or such.
By the way, who is Hong? No such name in the Bible.
If you mean Hong Xiuquan, he was a self styled messiah and cult founder.

The Taiping Heavenly King Hong could be seen as a cult founder but the same could be said about Jesus. Christianity was a cult in its early stages and many years after the death of Jesus did it expand to what it is today with many modifications over time.

The problem is Hong invented himself. He has nothing to back his claim.
Christ did. He was the fulfillment of OT prophetic revelation, performed miracles and more.
The Jews understood what his claims were based upon. Some accepted him, others did not because he did not come in the manner they wanted him to.
Christianity began to expand immediately, not many years later.
There has been no modifications to what the Bible and Christ said and taught. Yes, there have been those who have introducted false and bad doctrine, but the foundation has never changed.
For others, here (http://www.olemiss.edu/courses/inst203/taiping.txt) is an over view of Hong.
He prophesied his kingdom would last 10,000 years. It didn't. He claimed to be an actual brother of Christ, he wasn't
Everything he did was based on his personal claims and the power of his army.
To compare Hong to Christ is really an absurdity.

I was only suggesting that both started with a small following that could be considered a cult.
As far as the expansion I will do some research on it. I have heard many conflicting views on this. I know there is a good correlation between the fall of western Rome and the rise of Christianity per my college professor.

OK. I misunderstood.
But, using Daimyo for a name leads to natural assumptions when one knows what it means! ;)
As for the fall of Western Rome, you are talking about the rise of Catholcism, not Biblical Christianity.
Anyone who equates the two has a poor understanding of the history of Christianity. I just mean to research Christianity in full, not just Catholicism, or the assumption of the powers of Rome by the Roman Bishop.
The RCC is corruption of the Bible and the teachings of Christ. It never has been 'Christianity.'

I dont understrand what you mean here.
Daimyo means "the big name" as in Samurai regional lords. like Daimyo Oda Nobunaga.
dont mean to have an air of supremacy or anything it is just a name of a title of a time in our history that I find fascinating.

Because it relates, in a historical sense, to Hong.

Hong was Chinese and the term daimyo is Japanese.

I understand that.
A general, not a specific, resemblance.
But it shows an interest in that time period, I think.
You did bring up Hong.
