I'm not sure how to respond to this piece, but my cousin sends me a Max Lucado devotional everyday in my email and it is inspiring to those who may be going through a difficult time and need lifting up and it helps many to focus on God. His devotionals don't show him to be "flippant" or having an "irreverent attitude toward the savior".

I believe God alone chooses the people/tools he will use to draw unbelievers to Himself.

The same can be said about those into Positive Confession, Cults, other religions and so on. Many say a lot of very accepting, loving, kind sounding things.

The issue is where his teaching lead a believer to.

Unconditional love where there is no correction of error is a disaster. Acceptance does not have a higher priority than doctrinal correctness.

Adding the works of Baptism is error.

We should not expect anyone to be perfect. But harmful teachings cannot go unrebuked.

But we should expect all to have an open ear, heart and mind for Truth.

I see these types of churches growing not because they are converting the lost, but because they present Christ in a way that is acceptable to the lost.

When you stray from the Bible and start to get your own ideas and emotions mixed in then you are walking on shaky ground. No matter the intention. Why?

Because the Bible is THE source of truth about ALL things godly. And not Max Lucado's great storytelling. Granted he communicates very well, but how many people is he leading to the real Christ and not the christ he has come up with and told many about in his books?

Fewer and fewer churches are getting it right. God is forgiving only to those who repent. People dont want to hear that in Gods eyes you are a complete and utter failure worthy of being sent to Hell because you have broken His Law. UNTIL you see that you can't see God as He truely is.

Instead they see a loving and wonderful, beautiful Christ accepting them no matter what simply because He loves you.

They do not see the fact that God will not accept you until you accept yourself for who your really are. And that is a lost, sinful, failure in NEED of Gods gift of salvation, Christ.

You have to see the real NEED for God in your life. Not as just a passing need or fancy or whim or lifestyle to make you feel better about yourself.

and too I wonder if God is'nt cutting us off following man and getting our eyes back on Him.

all these teachers that are teaching we are all one....
thats leading into the AC religion.

I wondered about him when I heard others mentioning that he had written something ok'ing the PDL movement.

a drop of posien is enough to kill, and they are putting drops in and twisting Gods word.

and even to think of Jesus laughing hysterically, thats sickening.
sure he laughed, but that is so overboard.
and so many people are interjecting how they would deal with things in Jesus place, going to the cross and such, well, Jesus was'nt sinful.
and its not the same.
