It is also the name that I use on the 10 other forums that I am a member of. Some of those are rather slow right now, so I decided to Google myself a new forum. I typed in Christian and talk and forum, and this one was on the third or fourth page.

Luckystrike, what does the name Luckystrike mean? For some reason, I think cigarettes when I see it, but I don't smoke, so maybe I'm just imagining that is a brand name.

When I took on the screen name "LuckyStrike," I did not know "LuckyStrike" was a brand name of cigarettes. And, apparently, "LuckyStrike" is a poor brand of cigarettes, at that! :swoon:

For myself, "LuckyStrike" literally means "lucky strike," as in getting lucky hits or damage. Originally, I planned to employ this term as an Air Force fighter pilot nickname. But, when I was deemed physically unqualified for the job, I made this name my online screen name. Now, this screen name employs the original meaning, but under the context of John 15:5 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2015:5;&version=31;). Specifically:

"I can do nothing without God's help, except by luck. Therefore, if I do something without God's help, I hope for lucky strikes."
