it is going grey! :sob:
but its not orange like he was making it out to be...
just a tint of it.
I had put some lightener in it about 2 months ago, and of course it was a do it yourself stuff. I should know better anyhow.;)

I always color my hair. It is naturally kind of a carmel color but bleaches out blond in the sun. A couple of years ago I decided I was getting too old for that beach look, so I started coloring my hair red.
And yes, I'm getting a few grays....but not too bad. Just around my hairline (making it easier to find & pluck them). And I have one spot above my left ear where about 5 or 6 hairs grow out grey.

Gosh! I'm covered in gray hair, and I'm just 33. But, we gray early in my family. I'm going some time next week to get 2 different colors put in. Haven't decided how to get it cut, but looking forward to some color.
My Dad always taught me, "If the barn needs paintin', paint it!"
I'm going to get mine painted next week. :D

I saw today that in the herb/vit. store they carry hennas.

I'm thinking I'm gonna try it next time.
you'll have to post a pic chrystal when ya get it done!!

Jesse - What color is your natural hair? I have noticed that the henna color works alright on really dark brown to black hair, but it doesn't work so good on light brown to blond hair. It looks coated & not translucent when it is applied to light hair.

I've never heard of henna. What is it?

I've never heard of henna. What is it? Henna is a plant. It produces the same kind of brownish-reddish color dye that is used in the henna tattoos....those kind where it stains the skin for a while. The hair color works about the same way.

I'm bonde Id have to find something for blondes but I will definetly keep what you said in mind.
I know most hennas are for darker hair.

Does it work, or does it just look like a dye job? Brown colors can be tricky.
Oh boy!
I'm glad us guy's don't have to be concerned with hair color.
Do we guy's?
I have some gray showing up, but it makes me look distinguished!
Right?
Somebody help me here, please!

yrs ago, my mom used henna in her hair, she had brown hair,
and it gave it reddish highlights and was very pretty. it was a rinse and
it was'nt like a dye job.
for blondes I dont know!
TLIR :not: she will keep ya jumping!
but ya know what? I've seen some guys primp over their hair more than the gals!

Yep, I use to work with a guy like that. We called him Hollywood, never a hair out of place.
Great guy and good friend, but he sure took care of his hair.:tiphat:

I still haven't been to have my hair done. I still plan to get two colors chunked through it. I'm looking quite forward to it too. :D

do you mean like a weave?
usually I get a weave but man it cost to much!
I bet it looks really pretty!

Around here we just call it chunking. The reason I haven't done it yet is because of the cost. I'm putting it off. I will do it though, I'm determined my gray will be covered.

A "weave" & "chunking" are two entirely different things! lol
Chunking just means taking a couple of colors - or even just one color, but only applying it to "chunks" of hair & not all over the head.

That's what I'm going to have done. I know I'm getting a chocolatey brown for one of my colors, and want a lighter color for my other color...but don't know what color yet. Maybe a real light brown. I have dark hair, by the way.

Now that ya mention it, it does. Ya reckon this is a subconscious way of saying I need to eat some chocolate?
Jessie

yep, and its got to be a good one, maybe a baby ruth bar or a uno bar..

:ick: Oh, Jessie.... of all the chocolate bars you could've mentioned, you mentioned my least favorite ones. Then again, I don't like chocolate candy that much. I don't eat them very often.
