A new religion springs up in the late 1800's. The Jehovah's Witnesses, extremely new to the religious scene claim to be God's only organization.

Since my web site has been up, it has been called, "hateful", "not loving to anyone", and "critical". The site has been called "apostate" in which case I quickly sent the author of that comment the definition of the word and let them know I have never, am not, and never will be a member of the Jehovah's Witness religion so I do not qualify as an apostate.

People have asked me, "How can you tell the Jehovah's Witnesses that their beliefs are wrong?" People have told me that I am being close-minded and cannot legitimately criticize the teachings of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society because I do not know for sure if they are right or wrong.

So to answer those people that would tell me criticizing the Jehovah's Witnesses in any way is wrong, here are some quotes, from the Watchtower's own publications that allow me to rightfully critique their religion.

That Jesus is Michael the archangel. To try and prove this they add the word "other" four times in Colossians 1:16,17, teaching that Christ was God's first creation ('Aid to Bible Understanding', pg. 920).
The Greek word for firstborn is Prototokos. Whenever this is used of Jesus, it ALWAYS means pre-eminence or position of rank (Rom. 8:29). Not a physical birth.

Jewish culture taught that the firstborn son would inherit his father's wealth, whether he was the eldest or not.

Israel, although not the oldest nation on the earth, is called the firstborn of God (Ex. 4:22; Jer. 31:9).


And even King David, the youngest of Jesse's sons, is too called God's firstborn (Ps. 89:20-27.)

No angel in the Old or the New Testament ever received worship, love and obedience like Jesus did (Heb. 1:6-9).

In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus said to Satan twice: "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD YOUR GOD (4:7) [NWT, pg. 1219].

And the apostle Thomas called Christ: 'My LORD and my GOD (John 20:28). Thus Thomas called Jesus JEHOVAH GOD (NWT, pg. 1359).

It is rare to find a Witness who has not seen or heard information exposing the dishonesty of the Watchtower. Why, then, do they not see a problem? Evidently, something else has prevented them from objectively analyzing factual information. Their minds are trained to stop short of doubting the organization - a wall has been erected which says, in effect, "This far you may go, and no further."

What kind of powerful motivation prevents the Witness from entering the "dangerous" waters of critical investigation? The motivation is fear; the underlying problem is misplaced securities. The Christian concept of trusting a supernatural God is replaced with a more visible and concrete symbol, namely, the organization; God's organization.

The Witness learns that serving the organization is the same as serving God. The organization is the mother, God is the father, and the Witness is to obey his "parents." Since the Witness cannot see nor experience real interaction with God, his only tie with God is through the visible organization. It is, in effect, "God" to him (though he would not admit to or recognize it).

Convincing the Witness that the organization is deceptive is like trying to convince a 5-year-old child who loves his parents that his father is in jail for armed robbery - he simply doesn't believe his father is dishonest. In fact, he can't tolerate the thought, since he has placed all of his security and trust in his father and mother. The truth is too fearful and devastating to consider. Therefore, to protect his source of security, he rejects the factual information as being a lie.

Fear, indeed.

But one the least mentioned but most truth fears is disfellowship.

Non-JWs do not realize what the word means. It means loss of all JW friends, family, business relations and all the rest.

While not admitted, you cease to be a wife, husband, brother, sister, father, mother or whatever if you get disfellowshipped.

Same as the Mormons with ex-communication.

Meaning, a common threat and control used by cults.

thank u for the page on jw,s .my sister kelly has been a active member for years . right before she was decieved into this jesus hating people ( her house burned down while her husband was in prison and his jehovahs witness family wouldnt lend a helping hang to her and thier grand childed UNLESS she joined thier belief system of the jehovah witnesses) ,when she still had her own thoughts i talked to her about my own death , and that i would be in heaven anyway , she said oh are you one of the 144,000?i said no im scottish im sure im not one of the twelve tribes. she said will thats spiritural israel . i said God isnt done with them ,and that not in the bible, she said will i just have to read it better . now she is covinced that with her 70 hours of work a monthfor them she might recieve life eternal. i will say this . i will not let any man or religeous groupe put me under ayouk with the socalled word of God they try to hold me and so many others in condemeation and fear of hell if i dont live up to thier teachings .i can read for myself and my message to everyone who THINKS they are saved because of ANY conduct of thier part apart from rom10:9 IF you con fess with your mouth that jesus is LORD (YAWAH) and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead u will be saved it is with the heart one believes unto saintisfication and with ones mouth one confesses salvation..EPH2 saved by faith not works.. and on :):

The 144,000 of Revelation are Jews, 12,000 from each tribe and the First Fruits of the MK. Very much alive and entering the MK.
