Quote:Ingrafted Branches
11Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all!
God did not make Israel beyond recovery. Israel made itself very distant from God.
Quote:Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.
Israel turned from God. So God turned from them to the Gentiles to accomplish his purposes. He made Gentiles his preachers to the world instead of the Jews.
And this strikes at the pride of Israel.
Quote:12But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles,
Instead of the bounty being reserved for Israel to be a show place of God to the world the riches Israel would have received is now made available for the Gentiles anywhere in the world to receive.
Quote:how much greater riches will their fullness bring!
But when Israel turns back to God and the riches return to them it will be astounding to the world as it was originally meant to be.
All the riches displayed in one nation for the world to see.
This does not mean Gentiles will not be blessed and rewarded in the MK. It means God's greatest glory will shine from Israel alone.
Quote:13I am talking to you Gentiles.
Gentiles should not get prideful here. If it were not for the fall of Israel the Church would not exist.
Quote:Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry 14in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.
Paul was totally devoted to his ministry and reaching out to Gentiles. But at the same time he was still a Jew who loved his own.
Quote:15For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
Israel's rejection and death as a covenant nation brought all the world into a special union with God.
But when they accept Israel will live again and be God's chosen people apart from the Gentiles.
Quote:16If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy;
In the OT offering such as the bread offering a part of the whole was offered to God. Thus the remaining part not also offered was accepted by God as well.
So if God accepts the remnant as holy he will accept the whole when it becomes as the firstfruit offering of the remnant.
Quote:if the root is holy, so are the branches.
The root nourishes the whole tree. So if the branches feed from a holy root they become holy as well.
Quote:17If some of the branches have been broken off,
Trees can have suckler branches. They consume from the root but neither grow leaves or fruit. They waste the food of the root.
In fruit orchards such branches are removed and destroyed to allow the good branches to use the food from the root to bear more leaves and fruit.
Quote:and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root,
But when branches are cut out usually no new branch will grow from the place of cutting. So branches from other trees can be grafted in to replace the suckler branches.
Now these branches feed from the root as if part of the tree and bear leaves and fruit. But they never become the nature of the host tree. They just feed from it.
Gentiles feed from the heritage of Israel and bear fruit. But they never become Israel or bear the same leaves or fruit of Israel.
Israel is the tree domesticated by God for himself. Gentiles come from wild trees never domesticated.
The natural branchs of the tree are domesticated. Gentile branches never become domesticated.
Quote:18do not boast over those branches.
Gentiles must never gloat over the situation between Israel and God.
Quote:If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
The root from which Christ and the Church came is Israel. It feeds the Church but the Church never feeds it.
Quote:19You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." 20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
Gentiles must never get prideful.
Because of their pride the Jewish branches were removed to make room for the Gentile branches. The Gentile branches that become prideful can be removed as well.
Quote:22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
Gentiles must never forget why the branches of Israel were removed. Why Israel fell.
But today we see that pride ravaging the Church. We see the 7th Church being prepared to be removed from the tree and spit into the Trib to be burnt up by fire as happens to suckler branches cut from a healthy fruit tree.
Quote:23And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
The Trib, which is the 70th Week of Daniel, is the wake up and return call of Israel to God.
There is a remnant in Israel today. They will go in the Rapture.
We see in the first half of the Trib the rise of the 144,000 young Jews and the Woman who are the First Fruits of the MK. They are the remnant of Israel during the Trib.
We see at the Second Coming the conversion of the surviving 1/3 of Israel to Christ.
Israel will not remain unbelieving and they will be restored. Thus the requirement of the removal of the 6th church remnant of the Church at the Rapture.
This means the tree representing Israel on the earth has only natural brances once again. No wild branches grafted in.
Quote:24After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
Israel fell into disbelief leaving only a remnant to enter the Church Age as Church. They were cut out and Gentiles were grafted in.
We now near the end of the Church Age where the Church is falling into disbelief leaving only an Gentile remnant of believers, the 6th church, to be Raptured thus making room for the 70th Week of Daniel.
We see a remnant of Israel arise quickly in the Trib under the witnessing of the Two Witnesses. This remnant will grow into a restoration of Israel at the Second Coming.
The tree will be restored to its intended health and purity to accomplish its purposes.
