Quote:All Israel Will Be Saved

25I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

This is such an abused verse theologically.

It does not mean Israel is sealed out of being the covenant nation again. It does not mean that when the Trib begins no more Gentiles will be saved. It does not mean no Gentiles will be saved in the Millennial Kingdom.

It is talking about the fulness of the Church Age which is to the Church. The Church is for the Gentiles and Jews in the Church. Covenantally speaking Jews are treated the same as the Gentiles.

So as the Church is Gentile Covenantally speaking it does not stop Jews from being saved. As before Moses there was neither Jew nor Gentile but the faithful were saved. As during OT Israel faithful Gentiles were saved. And as during the Trib and MK faithful Gentiles will be saved.

But Gentiles during OT Israel did not become covenant Israel. Jews during the Church are the same as Gentiles by covenant. And from the Rapture on Gentiles again will not become covenant Israel upon salvation.

This is a covenant statement. Not a universal statement on salvation.

Quote:26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
"The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27And this is[6] my covenant with them
when I take away their sins."[7]

This is speaking about what happens at the beginning of the New Covenant to the Houses of Israel and Judah that begins at the opening of the 70th Week of Daniel and is completed at the Second Coming.

Quote:28As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account;

Israel rejected the Gospel and salvation by faith. They hate the Gospel and those who adhere to it.

That is because in their pride they see Gentiles as thieves trying to steal their place before God.

Quote:but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,

God in his Plan chose Jews to be the prophets of his Plan of Election. God has not totally rejected them and Israel still has a major role to play in completing his Plan, promises and purposes on the the earth.

Always remember there are no Gentile writers of the Bible.

Quote:29for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.

God has given certain promises to Abraham that must be fulfilled. And they can only be fulfilled through Israel.

God has called Israel and therefore they will ultimately fulfill the call.

Quote:30Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience,

Because Israel has failed and is failing to fulfill its role God turned to the Gentiles and gave to them the mercies, blessings, gifts and callings that would have been given to Israel.

This will remain true until God deems it is time for the 70th Week of Daniel to begin. The time for Israel to be called back to him as the covenant nation.

Quote:31so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[8] receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you.

God has always intended and predestined that all who would love him would find him. So God's Plan included the disobedience of Israel as the opportunity to bring Gentiles, as the Church, into the Body of Christ as full co-heirs with Israel.

Quote:32For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

All Man is disobedient. Law condemns all in accordance with the extent of the Law they possess.

By revealing sin via Law to all Man God could extend his grace and mercy to all Man via Christ. He increased the knowledge and condemnation of sin to be able to increase his blessing to all of Man who would love him.
