This prayer is the most important prayer you will ever pray in your entire existance. Yes the prayer of Salvation is that important because it affects not only how you will live here on this Earth in this life, but also in the life you will lead after you die.

And its all so simple:

First you must accept that Jesus Christ is God; that He came to Earth as a man and lived a sinless perfect life. One that we could never and have never lived. He did this so that we would not have to pay the penalty that we deserve which is death. That penalty was paid in full on the Cross.

Second you have to confess your life of sin. God says you are a sinner that we are all sinners, and in order to be right with God you must recognize what He sees in you as truth. The truth is that we are all sinners living our lives our way and not Gods way.

Finally you ask that Jesus come into your heart and fill you with the Holy Spirit; to trust that He will lead you and guide you from this moment on. Trusting in the fact that He will never leave you or forsake you.

That is all there is in changing your eternal status from lost to saved in the eyes of God.

Then begin or continue to communicate with other people you know are Christians. They will support you and keep you on track in your new found faith.
Obtain a bible and begin reading it. Study it, believe it. Ask questions and test your faith. God wants you to test everything, and He wants you to know that your new found faith is a real faith that has answers. Please feel free to ask the admins or moderators here if you have more questions about salvation or Christianity.

1 Colossians. 15

Christ Is Supreme
15 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation.* 16 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see-kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him. 17 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together.
18 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) Christ is the head of the church, which is his body. He is the first of all who will rise from the dead,* so he is first in everything. 19 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross. 21 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, 22 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. 23 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/tools/printer-friendly.pl?book=Col&chapter=1&translation=nltp&x=7&y=11#) But you must continue to believe this truth and stand in it firmly. Don't drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed by God to proclaim it.
